At CrossFit Get Salty, we believe in only the highest standards of physical fitness training. Our trainers have 10+ years of CrossFit experience, and over 15 years of experience in the "fitness" field. Our expertise, and our positive community will help you with any health goal you may have; whether that is competing at a high level of CrossFit, or being able to run around with your family. Learn more about our methods by stopping by today!

What does Crossfit look like at Get Salty?


Cardio
In order to maximize our cardiovascular health we program a variety of: running, rowing, biking, jumping rope, and skiing.
Olympic Lifting
Another staple in CrossFit Programming is our Oly components: Cleans, Snatches, and Jerks are all taught safely and masterfully.


Resistance Training
Being strong isnt just about being a bad**s, that is just a side effect. Another component of CrossFit, is resistance training. We will teach you proper mechanics to move your body to be able to get strong and stay healthy for the rest of your life. Â
We involve all the resistance training basics: barbells, dumbells, and kettlebells to help you with your muscular strength.
Gymnastics
Not the type of gymnastics you see at the Olympics. In CrossFit, gymnastics refers to moving your body weight. So think of: pull-ups, dips, rope climbs, pistol squats, etc. You never appreciate how difficult it can be to move your body weight around until you are hanging from a bar trying to get your chin over it!
Special Olympics Power Lifting
During season, we offer our services free of charge to anyone in the Special Olympics looking to improve their health, whether they want to compete or not. Thursday nights from 630 to 730 we have a class teaching the aspects of power lifting: bench, squat, and deadlift. While the focus is on the big three lifts, we also incorporate other aspects of fitness to improve overall health and fitness instead of just solely focuses on strength.Â
During the offseason, we offer this class every other Thursday with a little more emphasis on overall fitness for $10 a month. If you are interested, or know of someone who may be interested please do not hesitate to contact us!

I'm not going to bore you here, so I will keep it short and sweet. I have owned the gym since sometime in December of 2018. Before that I have spent 4 years as the "head coach" at this gym as well as EHP CrossFit up in Moorhead, MN. Before getting into CrossFit, I spent about two years as a personal Trainer, 4 years as a strength coach (collegiate level for 3 years and in the MiLB for the Houston Astros). I had played sports all life long before that, so being in a weight room and staying fit has been apart of me my whole life.

I have been coming to the gym since I was 8 weeks old! I love everyone, (even though I might bark at you when you come in, I am just letting you know that I will soon be leaning up against you asking for pets or my ball to be thrown!) but mainly I come to make sure when you are worn down after working out hard that you can get some loving from me!
